With the new expansion Blizzard announced at BlizzCon, Battle for Azeroth , the developers are going to take the game back to its roots returning to the original feud between The Alliance and The Horde.
New races are going to join both sides of the conflict adding their racial passives and abilities to influence the tide of the battle.
The Alliance will get The Void Elves, Lightforged Draenei and Dark Iron Dwarves (oh, my, how things change).
The Horde will be reinforced by The Nightborne Elves, Highmountain Tauren and Zandalari Trolls.
In order gain access to these races in order to play them, players will have to complete chains of quests and unlock each race as a quest reward. Once a race is unlocked and a new character is created it will start as a lvl 20 character and will have to take it all the way to the new lvl cap, 120!
Going through all the levels and taking your time growing one of these new characters will unlock rewards called Heritage Armor which will be deeply connected to that specific race’s lore.
So far there has been no word of a release date for Battle of Azeroth but the hype is already starting to build up!
